Lit & Love Book Club

Throughout the year, IMPACT will read books that revolve around the topic of incarceration, inmates and their families, and reentry.  The objective of the book club is to promote literacy,  support members of the community who have an incarcerated  loved one and raise public awareness on the issue of mass incarceration. The  in society and loved one with a call to action. Community participants members will read and discuss an engaging book of any genre whose themes reflect the effects of mass incarceration and the challenges that those impacted by it experience. In addition, participants will attend author or speaker events, and finally put their newfound knowledge with a call to action by participating in a community service project or civic engagement activity related to the book. Those who respond to the call to action will enable our community members to heal and cope with their own issues by making an impact in the community
